Home again, home again... ....Lickity split!

When I was in Vegas, it seemed like I'd be there forever. Clearly, that was not the case -- and I barely got to blog! Six days is not as long as it seems. So, it's time to catch up!

I just spent the past hour or so catching up on all the message board posts that have gone up since I left -- so nice to see you all in there and chatting. I think I was a little homesick without you!

I've been sorting through all my pictures since getting home -- I am missing a few that I thought I'd snapped, but apparently didn't, so I'm disappointed about that, but I still have my notes, so I'll be able to tell you about the cool stuff I saw. Honestly, I could probably write one blog post a day for an entire year and still not tell you about everything! I don't know how much I'll realistically have time for (I obviously overestimated about Vegas) but I'll try to get it all in for you!

I know a lot of you breastfeed -- do any of you use coverups when you feed the baby? There seem to be two groups of people -- those who cover up and those who, like Maggie Gyllenhaal, are completely open about it. Both of course, are completely legitimate! If you are one of the coverup group (and even if you aren't), you are going to *love* Skoose Designs.

First of all, you have to love them just because Suzanne is just astounding. (more on her in a minute- and her sister, who was at the show with her!) But she also has a really great product -- it's a little different than the other coverups I've seen. The coverup actually folds up into a little purse! And once in purse form, it can hold up to 5lbs of whatever you want to carry -- diapers, wipes, passies, whatever! I'm a big fan of multifunctional products, so this particularly appealed to me.

In each pack, she also includes this really cool burp cloth, with a design that I haven't seen before -- you can tell that she hase burped many a baby with the thought that went into this. There is a small cut-out on one side of the cloth, allowing it to nestle right up next to your neck. That way, the rest of it lies flat, with no more bunching and no more falling off the shoulder! The other bit I really enjoyed was that there is enough fabric on the burp cloth to cover all the way to the middle of your torso, so it's pretty likely to catch all of that spit-up (babies do seem to have an amazing amount of that, don't they?).

The women who run the company are amazing -- they are the type of people who inspire that "love at first sight" kind of reaction in just about everyone they meet. They are both moms, and are just absolutely passionate about the product -- as are all mompreneurs. It was just really amazing to sit and listen to them talk about how they pick their fabrics, how much time and effort they put into every decision, and how much they really believe in helping other moms.

(And, an insider's tip -- I've heard rumors that Suzanne has a few pieces made from extremely limited edition fabrics -- so if that interests you, get in touch!)
